Oops, this was not the day to decide to tune back in and participate in Tuesdays on the Run hosted by Erika, Marcia and Patty for this week’s Tuesdays on the Run. Apparently the topic is Grading January 2017 (as it relates to running!).

So I guess I could give myself a F, but I did run the Star Wars Light Side 5k, 10k, and Half Marathon. Of course, I ran it with 20 extra Prednisone pounds, with lingering flu, after a trip to the hospital the night before leaving for Los Angeles, and in immense pain (not running related), so that should be extra credit.

Then I came home and have not just failed to run, but failed to exercise at all really. So maybe a D-

It’s (shockingly) not one of my ongoing invisible illnesses plaguing me, but a suspected Lil Monster that seemingly came from nowhere (or from the flu). I haven’t had this actually confirmed as cysts (unless ruptured or infected) don’t show up on CT Scans, which I had a couple of weeks ago. Seems my doctor retired without any notice and I was in specialist limbo, trying to manage pain, find a new doctor, and get my records transferred. My appointment is tomorrow

In the meantime, my Lola pug had surgery to have a massive bladder stone removed, had a reaction to the stitches, and then needed round the clock observation. Artboy was in Atlanta for a CS:Go thingamajob so I sat on the couch with the pugs and caught up on mainstream movies on PVP.

This isn’t to whine or illicit sympathy, but an honest look at my lack of running this month. I’m doing okay tho, as I am focusing on health before ramping up for the Dark Side (training starts in a couple of weeks) and then deciding how my marathon training will look for a Fall race.

I hope your running month was better! Link up: Rate your month in running.  If you don’t have anything to share about how your running month rated, feel free to post any running related blog post.  Link-up with PattyErika, and Marcia!
