We go to Hawaii every year for Spring Break, not necessarily by choice, but it’s what it is in life with Artboy. This trip was a blur of Lava hikes, tiki drinks, amazing food, and great friends.
Not one to be thwarted by waking up at 2 am or running 13.1 (plus another 6.2) miles, I will not let a little thing like runDisney moving my favorite race to the morning (making it no longer my favorite race) ruin my Food & Wine plans. We made it through two rounds of booking and have a schedule fit for a very fat lush runner! Here we go…
So what’s happened in the last million days? I’ve been to Disney for Star Wars races, Coachella Music Festival, Maui, San Diego, Disneyland for Tink, Walla Walla, Disney World for my birthday, Miami, Puerto Rico, Vancouver,Portland, Leavenworth, and some places I’m certainly forgetting and not in that order. Now I’m home with my pugs and will be catching up on some oversharing.
I deviated from usual Coachella exploration today, as every musician I hit with my finger was a DJ (or a DJ group, why do we need so many of those?), and I just wasn’t in the mood for any type of overly produced and mixed computer music with guest singers crooning, no matter what genre (and I found several). I wanted a guitar. So I decided to explore Melody’s Echo Chamber, who is playing on Sunday, instead.
My Coachella Band Exploration led me to Grimes today. My close the eyes and point sometimes leads to someone I actually know. Grimes is played on the radio constantly and Artboy digs her. I’ve never been a fan, but let me explore and see if that’s changed.
Just 56 days until Coachella, and I am exploring some of the bands playing. I close my eyes and point at the lineup. Today my band exploration leads to Snakehips, playing on Friday.
